Inns and Outings The Village B&B
by Janet Wiley
The Village Antiques
& Tea Room B&B, north west of Morrisburg and about a 45-minute drive
from Ottawa, is only minutes away from the scenic Long Sault Parkway, the
11-kilometre drive over the bridges and causeways which link the islands created
by the development of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
There are four guest bedrooms, two on the main floor with
comfortable sitting areas and a shared bathroom, and two upstairs - useful for
families or couples traveling together - linked by a private sitting room and a
shared bathroom. There is a fully licensed dining room for evening meals
and overnight guests are offered a good choice from the full breakfast
menus.
One of the most popular packages offered by the B&B, in
conjunction with Upper Canada Playhouse, is its summer dinner/theatre package
which comprises one night's accommodation for two, a four-course dinner in the
dining room, two theatre tickets and breakfast for two the next morning.
Cost of this summer's packages, which starts in June, is expected to be $149.95
per couple.
Current rates at the Village Antiques B&B are $45 single
and $65 double per night and a full breakfast is included. French and
English are spoken and you can call 613-535-2463 or 1-877-264-3281 for more
information and check the website at www.bbtearoom.com
